:- Patience // Lust's fiery

Patience
by melvin

(picture taken on a random night of Q4 '08)

I laid my hands upon your chest
and drowned my moist lips with my gentle greed.
Your lustful pair of eyes were mine,
your core was prest and sexually warm,
against me, all hard, with our urgent needs.
And yet we stayed in this position
like frozen statues, all suspended,
waiting for the right moment.

The Gods had given their condition
for lasting love that never end,
would be the abstention at this time.
Just close encounter of a kind
that does allow the lust to climb,
but would stop short of intertwined
hot bodies of ours that just know they must
search deep inside each other's soul,
that gives in freely to our lust,
believing that our lives would be one.

But, when I heard that I could trade
for abstinence the end of time.
So that no clock was ever made,
would be of use or need a tickling chime.
That time would cease now to exist,
I said 'with pleasure', as we indulge further
carass, and frolic as we hanker,
and kissed with the absence of time.

Somewhat similar to March 30, 2008's work entitled "Passionate", this poem was composed to augment the urgent fiery of lust but in this case, with the reference of time: Patience. 'Patience' is being put to a test and is crucially needed to "savour" what's deem the best of the world, and this poem talks about what comes along with patience, on January 1, 2008.
